By Taxi we strongly suggest that you arrange beforehand for a taxi to meet you, and bring you to St. George's House. Black cabs on the rank outside the terminal are incredibly expensive, and won't get your visit off to a good start! We have found that five star taxis are the best firm to use. They can be found on +44 (0) 1753 858888.

By Car (please note that there is no car parking within the Castle)

At Junction 6 from the M4 follow the A332 to the roundabout. Turn left into Arthur Road, follow this to the end, and turn right at the roundabout into Charles Street, where you will see the entrance to the King Edward Court Shopping Centre NCP car park immediately on your left. Current charge is £6.00 for 24 hours. The car park is very close to the Castle and has an excellent track record as a safe place for vehicles.

If you need to drop off your luggage at St. George's House first, carry on up Charles Street to the T junction at the end, and turn left into Victoria Street Follow the road round into the High Street. Turn right at Queen Victoria's statue, and then left at the Henry V111Gate, where you will need to give your name to the police and explain that you want to drop off your luggage before parking. They will then direct you to the Galilee Porch to unload.

Please note that between 10.30 am and 11.30 am the daily ceremony of the Changing of the Guard takes place. This affects admittance to the Castle and some of the surrounding roads.
